All About Inca's

This page is all about Inca's

Inca Agriculture
The Inca's used things called irrigation canals. They were paths of water that led to the farms so that the farmers could grow crops. Not only was the water for farmers, it was for the community members that lived with the Inca groups.
It took them many months to build the canals since they did not have any bull dozers or machines. They just used there hands and there homemade tools. View the picture of irrigation canals near this text.

Location
The Inca's lived in what now is Columbia, Ecuador, Bolivia, Northern Chile, and Northwestern Argentina. They lived on grassy, dry land with many open fields. That's where they lived.

Daily Life of the Inca's
Everyday the Inca's had to work on the farm if they had one. They also had many small jobs as clothes makers, messengers, soldiers etc. The Inca's children were very loyal to there tribes and were not allowed to leave the tribe area until they were older. Also, the Inca's had rank circles and the lowest ranks were the ranks of slave workers and farmers that were supported by others to feed there families.

Greatest Achievements
Some of the most greatest achievements the Inca's ever had are the following:
1. Stone Roads= The Inca's made many roads out of stone with there bare hands and homemade tools.
2. Irrigation Canals= Those were canals that were used as water sources for near by Inca farmers and community members.
3. Stone Terraces= Those were buildings and monuments that the Inca's made. It took them many, many months and sometimes years to build them completely.

Arts/Music
There were many Inca craftsman in the Andes. Some things they made were silver alpacas, ornaments, tools and potery. The pottery which had geometric designs painted in black, red, brown, yellow and white. They loved to play on woodwinds and drums. They played haunting melodies for ceremonies just for fun.

How should tourist pack
You should pack a lot of short sleeved shirts and shorts. Pack a lot because, there is lots of dirt and mud in the Inca lands. Also, they will get dirty from sweat fast while you are climbing the mountains to get to your destinations. Also, you might want to pack a flute because, the Inca's love flutes since they are woodwinds. Also, bring lots of sunscreen unless you intend to get burned.
